Famous Scientists on Catch the Ghost™

When I tell people about our app, we often get asked about who we have. In fact, one negative review from Japan complained that we had too many activists and politicians and no scientists.

Well, they were wrong, we had two published scientists, LOL! But clearly that’s not enough. It’s difficult for a small team like ours to publish ghosts in every single category that will interest our users, but we are getting better.

We have over 750 unpublished ghosts moving through our editorial system, in every category you can think of, but it takes a lot of time to get these ghosts ready for prime time. Sometimes we don’t like the quotes, sometimes the images aren’t great, sometimes I say, “Hey this is a legendary ghost loved and adored by countless people worldwide, it needs twenty apparitions, not four!” We want you to be blown away when you catch these ghosts, and we want you to feel something. As I always say to my team, “You can’t rewire anyone’s brain without making them feel something.” And so goes the steady and meticulous process of curating a quality product that functions as a commodity in our app.

I don’t know if people realize, but we’re going to have 10,000+ ghosts in our app one day, but in the words of Marcus Tullius Cicero, “The beginnings of all things are small.”

A couple weeks ago, I told my kids’ coach about the app, and he asked about scientists too. A couple days after that, yet another person asked about scientists!

No need to get your jimmies rustled people, we’ve got your scientists right here! There’s plenty more to add, but we published enough of them to make a 4×4 grid 😃. Behold, the “Famous Scientists” Collection of Catch the Ghost!

There may or may not be a “Darth Mendel” in our app somewhere…and it may or may not have been an accident 🤭

(From left to right) Gregor Mendel, Alexander Fleming, Carl Sagan, Enrico Fermi, George Washington Carver, Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Hans Christian Ørsted, Louis Pasteur, Rosalind Franklin, Robert Oppenheimer, Richard Feynman, Robert Hooke, Michael Faraday, Sally Ride, Thomas Edison.

Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman are ghosts I personally created, they’re legendary, and each have 20 apparitions. I was floored by how deeply insightful and quotable they both were. I hope that when you catch these ghosts, you appreciate the hours of research and curation that went into choosing how we would memorialize these important historical figures.
